Third Arrest Made in Jodie Chesney Murder Probe
Detectives have charged a third suspect in the murder of Jodie Chesney in Harold Hill. Svenson Ong-a-kwie, 18, from Hillfoot Road, Collier Row, Romford, was arrested on 10 March and charged with murder.
He is set to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 14 March. Two other men have already been charged in connection with the killing.
Previous Arrests and Court Dates
- Manuel Petrovic, 20, of Highfield Road, Romford, was arrested on 5 March. He was charged and remanded, appearing at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court and later at the Old Bailey.
- A trial date has been scheduled for 2 September.
- A 16-year-old male from Romford was arrested on 8 March and charged with murder. He appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ and the Old Bailey earlier this month.
Others Released Under Investigation
Three other individuals – a 50-year-old man, a 38-year-old woman, and a 17-year-old boy – were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender on 10 March. They have since been released under investigation.
