Three Charged in Liam Payne Death Probe
Three people have been formally charged over the tragic death of One Direction star Liam Payne, who fell from a third-floor balcony at Buenos Aires’ Casa Sur Hotel on October 16.
Serious Allegations Unveiled
The Argentine prosecutor’s office announced on November 7 that the accused face charges including “abandonment of a person followed by death” and “supply and facilitation of narcotics.” Prosecutor Andres Esteban Madrea revealed Liam, 31, was “not fully conscious” or suffering a “noticeable loss of consciousness” during the fall.
Close Associate and Hotel Staff Among the Accused
One suspect was a close companion of Payne during his stay, while another worked at the hotel. Authorities examined dozens of eyewitness accounts, sifted through over 800 hours of CCTV footage, and conducted a forensic analysis of Liam’s phone data, covering calls, messages, and social media activity.
Drug Evidence and Hotel Room Chaos
Inside Liam’s hotel room, investigators discovered narcotics, alcohol, and signs of a violent disturbance — broken furniture and scattered objects. Officials believe Liam may have undergone a substance-fuelled breakdown just before his fatal fall.
This devastating case has rocked fans worldwide. Argentine authorities continue their investigation to uncover all the circumstances behind Liam Payne’s untimely death.
