Brighton Stabbing Sparks City Centre Lockdown
Chaos erupted in Brighton’s city centre after a woman was repeatedly stabbed in Norfolk Square. Sussex Police swooped in with tasers just before 2pm on Thursday, sealing off the area amid a full lockdown.
Victim Collapses in Pool of Blood
Witnesses say the 34-year-old victim collapsed in a pool of blood after the brutal attack. Emergency services rushed her to hospital with what police describe as a minor abdominal injury.
Suspects on the Run – Two Arrested
Officers say two suspects fled towards the seafront but quickly arrested a 44-year-old woman and a man on suspicion of wounding with intent. Both remain in custody for questioning.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: “Police were called at 1.45pm to reports of a stabbing in Norfolk Square. Two suspects fled the scene towards the seafront. The victim sustained a minor injury and is in hospital.”
