Two Men Face Charges Over Fatal Stabbing
Hamzah Ahmed, 18, from Jubilee Road, Reading, has been charged with murder. Meanwhile, Umer Arshad, 23, of Waterloo Road, Wokingham, faces charges of perverting the course of justice.
Victim Named as Reece Heffernan
Police have confirmed the victim is 22-year-old Reece Heffernan from Tilehurst. He suffered a fatal stab wound to the chest, according to a post-mortem report.
Suspects to Appear in Court
Both men are scheduled to appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court tomorrow. Authorities continue to support the victim’s family during this tragic time.
