On February 4, 2021, officers executed a warrant at the couple’s home following intelligence about drug dealing. The raid uncovered over half a kilo of cannabis prepped for street sale, alongside drug paraphernalia, cash, and several mobile phones. Both Hicks and Dempster were arrested on the spot.
Officer Slams Drug Dealers for Hurting Community
“Hicks and his partner Dempster were storing large amounts of cannabis and receiving not only cash payments but also many third-party payments through illegal means,” said PC Caldwell.
“They were well-established dealers pushing class B drugs on the streets of Swindon. Illegal drugs damage both users and the wider local community.”
“Both have selfishly profited from their crimes while contributing nothing positive to society. I’m pleased our investigation has brought them to justice.”
