Canterbury Man Faces Court Over Sexual Offence and Stalking Breaches

University of Kent Incident Sparks Charges

A 27-year-old man from Canterbury is set to appear in court after being accused of sexual touching and repeatedly breaking a stalking protection order. The allegations stem from an incident on March 15, 2023, when a woman reported being inappropriately touched over her clothing outside a building at the University of Kent campus.

Babatunde Odukoya Charged Over Multiple Offences

Babatunde Odukoya, of Blean Common, faces one count of sexual touching and seven counts of breaching a stalking protection order. Prosecutors say he entered the university grounds multiple times between December 1, 2022, and March 17, 2023, despite restrictions.

Remanded in Custody Ahead of August Hearing

Odukoya was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, August 3.
