Homeless Woman Snatches Wallet, Runs Shopping Spree

Aji Sinera, 30, homeless and with no fixed address, approached the man asking for money. When he said no, she launched a brutal assault, wrestled his wallet away, and fled with his bank card.

Sinera didn’t waste time. She splurged on takeaway food and tried dozens of fraudulent transactions at local shops using the stolen card.

Quick Sentence at Lewes Crown Court

Justice was swift. Sinera pleaded guilty to robbery and three counts of fraud by false representation.

On 19 March, Lewes Crown Court handed down an 18-month prison sentence—suspended for two years. The court made it clear she needs to stay on the straight and narrow or face jail time.
