Woman Charged with Murder After Fatal Stabbing in Tower Hamlets
A woman has been charged with murder following a deadly stabbing in Tower Hamlets. Hope Rowe, 32, from Piazza Walk, E1, faces murder and possession of a bladed article charges. She is set to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court this morning.
Early Hours Attack in Duckett Street
Police were called to a block of flats on Duckett Street, E1, at around 1.17am on Sunday, 15 September. Officers found a woman suffering from stab wounds in the foyer. Despite emergency services’ efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Victim Believed to Be Charlotte Lawler
Though formal identification is pending, police are confident the victim is 31-year-old Charlotte Lawler. Her family have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.
Ongoing Investigation and Appeals for Information
- A 37-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on bail as inquiries continue.
- A crime scene remains in place at the flats while police work to piece together what happened.
