Police Stop Sparks Arrest
A 14-year-old boy was arrested after officers found a machete during a stop-and-search near London Bridge Station. The drama unfolded at 4:05pm on February 4, when a group of teenagers spotted police patrolling and scattered.
Officers quickly caught one lad and searched him. They uncovered a large machete strapped to him. The boy was immediately arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and taken into custody. He has now been released on bail while police carry on their investigation.

“A 14-year-old boy was arrested by officers following a proactive stop-and-search that found he had a machete,” said a Metropolitan Police spokesperson.
“Officers were patrolling around London Bridge at 16:06hrs on Tuesday, 4 February, when a group of teenage boys ran off. One teenager was caught and searched, leading to the discovery of the weapon. He’s been bailed pending further enquiries.”
