Man Arrested Over Burglary and Theft of Car and Bikes in Great Bardfield

A 48-year-old man from Stisted is in custody after a daylight burglary saw an orange Kia Sportage, two bikes, and a Microsoft Surface stolen from a home off Brook Street, Great Bardfield.

Early Morning Raid Yields Car, Bikes, and More

The theft occurred between 5am and 5:30am on 14 June. Thieves also nicked bank cards which were later used fraudulently to buy items.

Police believe three suspects were involved in the raid.

Man Held on Multiple Charges

The man arrested on 2 July faces charges of burglary, fraud by false representation, and drug possession. He remains behind bars as officers continue to question him.

Police Seek Public’s Help

Detectives are hunting for the other suspects and urgently want to hear from anyone who may have spotted the distinctive stolen bike or been offered one like it for sale recently.
