Woman Arrested After Man Found Dead at Upfield Close
Police were called to Upfield Close just after 8am on Monday following the discovery of a 62-year-old man’s body. A 55-year-old woman from Horley has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
Ongoing Investigation and Road Closures
Officers are probing the circumstances surrounding the man’s death. A cordon is in place at the scene, with Upfield Close currently closed to traffic. Additional cordons remain active in Hyperion Walk and Riverside, Horley.
Detective Chief Inspector Speaks Out
“While it is too early to speculate on the circumstances surrounding the man’s death, we do not believe there is any wider risk to the public at this time,” said Detective Chief Inspector Chris Friday from Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team.
“My team is working round the clock to follow up all lines of enquiry and bring the responsible party to justice. The victim’s next of kin have been informed, and specially trained officers are supporting the family during this difficult time.”
