Tragic Crash on A5 Roundabout Near Mancetter
West Midlands Ambulance Service scrambled to the scene after police reported a collision at 6.46am yesterday morning (Sunday) on the A5 roundabout near the Blue Boar Inn, Mancetter, Atherstone.
Man Killed in Collision With Stationary HGV
Two ambulances and a paramedic officer rushed to the crash site. A spokeswoman confirmed that crews found a car had smashed into a stationary HGV. Tragically, the male driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
“It quickly became apparent that nothing could be done to save the driver of the car, a man, and he was confirmed dead on scene,” said a West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman.
