Between January 3 and March 15, 2023, multiple reports have flooded in of elderly shoppers having their purses stolen while out shopping. The crooks reportedly spot victims withdrawing cash, then either bump into them or distract them before making off with their belongings.

The thieves have struck across a range of high street favourites, including Card Factory, Primark, Boots, and B&M. Police suspect a gang operating together to carry out these sneaky thefts.
