Wigan Man, 47, Busted Over Terror Material
A 47-year-old man was arrested in Wigan on the morning of Tuesday, 13 December, following a carefully planned police raid. Officers from Greater Manchester Police played a key role in the operation.
Suspected of Spreading Terror Content
The man was taken in on suspicion of disseminating terrorist publications, under Section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006. Police detained him under PACE and transported him to a Manchester police station.
Released on Bail, Investigation Ongoing
He has since been bailed, with a return date set for mid-March 2023. Authorities say the probe is linked to Islamist terrorism, and inquiries are continuing.
