Teen Stabbed in Priestpopple Horror: Girl Dies, Boy Critical
The ambulance service raised the alarm just after 5.10pm on Friday following reports of a stabbing in the Priestpopple area. A 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl were found with serious injuries from a bladed weapon.
Girl’s Injuries Prove Fatal, Boy Fighting for Life
Both victims were rushed to hospital. The girl’s wounds were life-threatening. Tragically, she died later that evening despite all efforts to save her. The boy remains hospitalised with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police Arrest 16-Year-Old on Murder Suspicion
Officers launched a full investigation immediately. A 16-year-old boy has been arrested, first on suspicion of assault, then upgraded to murder. He remains in custody as police probe the chilling attack.
Specially Trained Officers Support Families
Skilled officers are helping the victims’ families through this awful ordeal. Police believe the youths knew each other and urge the public to avoid speculation. Investigations continue on the scene.
