Fatal Crash on M26 Near Dunton Green – Police Hunt Witnesses
Kent Police are urgently seeking witnesses and dashcam footage after a deadly collision on the M26 near Dunton Green.
Early Morning Smash Involving Van and Lorry
The crash happened at around 7:07am on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. Two vehicles were involved: a white Iveco curtain-sided van and a white Scania lorry towing an orange trailer. The collision took place close to junction 5.
Emergency Services Respond, One Man Dies at Scene
Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance rushed to the scene. Despite their best efforts, a man was tragically pronounced dead at the site.
Police Launch Serious Collision Probe
The Serious Collision Investigation Unit has opened a full inquiry. Officers want anyone who saw the crash or anything suspicious beforehand to come forward.
Dashcam footage urgently needed. Authorities especially want clips showing either the van or lorry before the crash. This could be vital for piecing together what happened.
