Shock in Abbey Wood: Boy Attacked with Bleach
No arrests yet after a terrifying attack in Abbey Wood where a boy had bleach thrown in his face. Emergency services rushed to Eynsham Drive just after 10pm on Monday, June 10, following distressing reports of a hazardous substance attack.
Boy Hurt but Injuries Not Life-Threatening
Officers and paramedics found the young victim with a corrosive liquid believed to be bleach on his face. He was quickly taken to hospital for treatment. Thankfully, police say his injuries are not life-changing or life-threatening.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
A crime scene was set up and later cleared as detectives continue investigating. The Metropolitan Police are now urgently asking anyone who saw or knows anything to come forward. “Police were called at 22:13hrs on Monday, 10 June, to reports of a person being attacked with a hazardous substance in Eynsham Drive, SE2. Officers attended along with LAS and found a boy had a substance, believed to be bleach, thrown in his face,” said a Met spokesperson. “He was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are believed non-life-threatening or life-changing. The crime scene is now closed. Enquiries are ongoing.”
