CCTV Released After Shocking Racial Attack on Dad in Supermarket
Father Assaulted in Front of Kids at West Bridgford Iceland
Police have released CCTV images as they hunt a man wanted for a racial assault on a father shopping with his two young children. The shocking attack happened at the Iceland store in Tudor Square, West Bridgford, on Monday, July 8, 2024, just before 4:30 PM.
Unprovoked Attack Sparks Police Appeal
The 45-year-old victim was racially abused and then punched in the face by an unknown male. The store manager stepped in, causing the attacker to flee before police arrived. Thankfully, the father suffered only minor injuries.
Police Plea to Public: Do You Recognise This Man?
Despite a full investigation, no arrests have been made. PC Dawn Daniels, leading the case, condemned the “appalling and completely unprovoked attack.” She urged anyone who recognises the man in the released CCTV images to come forward immediately.
“This was a violent attack in a supermarket in front of two young children. We are determined to catch the person responsible,” said PC Daniels.
