Escaped Mental Health Patient Caught After Two Weeks on the Run in Enfield

Police have finally nabbed Aaron Moore, 31, the dangerous offender who absconded from a Mental Health Unit in Enfield. He was found at an address in the area around 4pm on Friday, 5 July.

Arrest Made Without Incident

Moore was arrested for escaping lawful custody. Detective Inspector Paul Ridley from North Area CID, who led the manhunt, said: “Moore was detained this afternoon without incident. I would like to thank the public for all their information and assistance throughout the course of this enquiry.”

How Did He Escape?

  • Moore, a patient at the Priory London Clinic in Enfield, fled on Thursday, 21 June at around 4pm.
  • He was escaping from outside North Middlesex Hospital while being escorted by three staff members.
  • Despite wearing handcuffs, Moore managed to break free and disappear for two whole weeks.

His capture comes as a relief to the local community and law enforcement alike, ending a tense fortnight of uncertainty.
