Detectives hunt man linked to 2017 Tower Hamlets rape
Cold case shaken up after seven years
Police have launched a fresh appeal to identify a man wanted over a rape that took place back in 2017. The attack happened on 4 February 2017 in Kingsland Green, Tower Hamlets, but the crime was only reported to authorities on 19 August 2024. Following the late report, the Central East Public Protection team swung into action.
Specialist officers back the victim
Detectives are pursuing multiple investigation leads, while specialist officers are providing ongoing support to the victim. Today, police released an image of a man they urgently want to speak to in connection with the case.
