A busy Merseyside road has been shut for hours after a man was hit by a car in the early hours.
Serious Crash Shuts Down Marine Drive
The smash happened at around 5:30am on Wednesday, December 24, on Marine Drive near the Hesketh Road junction in Southport. Emergency teams rushed to the scene, and the road remains closed as they deal with the fallout.
Drivers are warned to steer clear and find alternate routes while police and paramedics work.
Police Launch Urgent Appeal for Witnesses
Merseyside Police said: “We can confirm emergency services are currently in Southport following a serious collision this morning (Wednesday 24 December).”
They added: “If you have any information about what happened, please call 101 or DM @MerpolCC on social media, quoting log number 103 of 24 December.”
