Big Lorry Crash on A27 Sparks Chaos in Farlington
Fire crews from Cosham rushed to the scene this lunchtime (Thursday April 26) after a massive lorry jackknifed across two lanes on the eastbound A27 in Farlington.
Fuel Spill Sparks Urgent Response
The giant truck leaked fuel all over the road, forcing firefighters to act fast. They used environmental protection packs to seal off a nearby drain and soak up the hazardous spill, preventing any serious environmental damage.
Road Closures and Delays
Thankfully, no one was hurt in the smash. But Hampshire and Isle of Wight Roads Policing officers slammed shut two lanes to help police contractors recover the vehicle. Drivers faced heavy delays as emergency crews worked on the busy carriageway.
Witnesses Urged to Come Forward
Police are urging anyone who saw the crash or caught it on dashcam to get in touch. Call Hampshire Police on 101 and quote incident 319 from April 26.
