Tragedy in Leytonstone: Teenager Stabbed to Death on Busy High Road
Police have released the first image of the 18-year-old victim after a deadly stabbing in Leytonstone.
Deadly Attack in Broad Daylight
At 2:15pm on Saturday, August 6, police rushed to High Road, E11, following reports of a stabbing. Officers provided emergency first aid until the London Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance arrived. Despite their efforts, the young man died at the scene.
The victim has been named as Ghulam Sadiq, a local 18-year-old. His family has been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers. A post mortem will be carried out soon.
No Arrests Yet as Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Linda Bradley from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command vowed justice. She said, “On a summer Saturday afternoon, he was attacked in broad daylight on the busy High Road. I know this will shock and anger the local community.”
Bradley urged anyone who saw the attack or noticed suspicious behaviour to come forward. She added, “Did you witness the attack? Did you notice anyone acting strangely? Any dashcam footage from the area is vital. No piece of information is too small.”

Detectives thanked local businesses and residents for their patience during road closures.
