Police raced to Blenheim Grove at around 11:20pm on Friday, 4 May, after reports of gunshots near Peckham Rye station. Officers quickly sealed off the area as panic gripped the neighbourhood.
Shopfront Shattered, No Injuries
The shutters of a local shop were blasted, but fortunately, no one was hurt. Witnesses saw three men speed off on two mopeds — an explosive scene that has left locals shaken.
Missed Shot Fired at Cyclist
It’s believed one of the suspects fired at a man cycling nearby, but the bullet missed its mark and smashed the shop instead. The Trident unit has taken charge of the probe and is hunting the culprits.
