Teen Thugs Threaten Man with Knife and Snatch Phone in Broad Daylight
Shocking Hold-Up in Great Lines Park
At around 4.15pm on Saturday, March 4, 2023, two teenage boys targeted a man and his friend strolling through the Great Lines. The pair were approached abruptly, sparking a tense confrontation.
Bladed Weapon Threat and Phone Theft
One thug grabbed the victim while the other wielded a red-handled knife, threatening him before snatching his phone. The balaclava-clad youths fled fast when a passerby interrupted their crime spree.
Suspect Descriptions and Police Appeal
- Both wore black balaclavas and looked 16 to 18 years old.
- One was white, about 5ft 11in, with ginger hair, sporting a pale hoodie and grey jogging bottoms.
- The other was mixed race, dressed in a blue coat, dark blue joggers, and rainbow-coloured glasses.
Police urge locals with CCTV or dashcam footage near Great Lines to come forward.
