Man Airlifted to London Trauma Unit After Dagenham Shooting
Gunfire Sparks Heavy Police Response
A man has been rushed to a London trauma unit after a shooting on Maplestead Road, Dagenham, on Thursday evening.
Armed police and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service stormed the scene at around 6.30pm. The area was immediately locked down as officers scrambled to secure the location.
Life-Saving Air Ambulance Intervention
The London Air Ambulance was called in to provide critical care. Doctors treated the man at the scene before airlifting him to hospital. His condition is reported as serious.
Forensics and Trident Officers Swarm the Crime Scene
Trident officers and forensic teams in blue suits are conducting a meticulous sweep of the property and garden. Residents counted over 40 officers, several armed, coming and going.
The road remains closed with police cordons and guards keeping the scene secure. A nearby property has been sealed off as investigations continue.
Met Police Expected to Appeal for Information
The Met Police have been contacted and are expected to release a public appeal soon as the probe into the Dagenham shooting unfolds.
