Man Fighting for Life After Lorry Smash Outside Royal Stoke Hospital
A man is battling for his life after being hit by a lorry just outside Royal Stoke University Hospital this morning.
Serious Collision on A34 Newcastle Road
West Midlands Ambulance Service rushed to the scene at 9.11am following reports of a pedestrian hit by a lorry on the busy A34 Newcastle Road in Stoke-on-Trent.
Emergency Response at the Scene
Two ambulances and a paramedic officer responded immediately. A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said:
“Ambulance staff arrived to find a pedestrian, a man, who had sustained serious injuries following a collision with a lorry. The man was given trauma care on scene before being transferred by ambulance on blue lights to the nearby hospital for further emergency care.”
Man in Critical Condition
The victim remains in a serious condition after the terrifying accident. Police and emergency crews are investigating the crash as enquiries continue.
