Winchester Horror: Pedestrian Trapped Under Bus in Busy City Centre Crash
Police are hunting witnesses after a serious road crash in Winchester.
Pedestrian Left Fighting for Life
Just after 4.50pm on Monday, December 19, a 42-year-old man was hit by a bus turning onto St Georges Street from Silver Hill.
The victim was trapped beneath the bus and suffered life-threatening injuries. He is currently being treated at Southampton General Hospital.
Shoppers Urged to Come Forward
PC Jamie Foster said: “There were lots of passengers on the bus and the city centre was buzzing with shoppers at the time. Did you see what happened?”
“I want to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision but hasn’t yet spoken to us. Please get in touch.”
