Man Stabbed to Death in Horrific Jacket Robbery in Walthamstow

Tragedy struck Lea Bridge Road, Walthamstow, when a man was fatally stabbed during a robbery gone wrong on Wednesday evening.

Knife Attack Over Online Jacket Sale

Police were called at around 5.20pm on 17 March after reports of a stabbing near the junction with Grove Road. The victim had advertised a jacket for sale online. Two men showed up at his home and tried to snatch the jacket at knifepoint.

During the struggle, the man was stabbed and died at the scene. His mother, who bravely tried to intervene, was also injured in the attack.

Fatal Stabbing and Injuries

Emergency services, including the London Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene. Despite their efforts, the victim in his 20s was pronounced dead instantly. The second man involved was found with cuts to his hand and taken to hospital.

The victim’s family are said to be devastated by the loss.

Police Hunt Suspects

Road closures remain in place while officers conduct inquiries. So far, no arrests have been made in connection with the stabbing. The investigation is ongoing.
