Murder Probe Launched After Elderly Couple Found Dead in Poole Home
A shocking murder investigation is underway in Poole, Dorset, after a man and woman in their 70s were discovered dead inside their house on Anthony’s Avenue. Emergency crews were called at around 11:35am on December 31, sparking a full police inquiry.

Dorset Police confirmed the victims knew each other, with next of kin informed and the coroner notified. Detective Inspector Ian Allen called it a “very sad situation” and pledged full support to the families.
“We are doing all we can to support the next of kin. Officers are carrying out enquiries to establish exactly what happened, and a cordon is in place to allow a thorough investigation of the scene,” Allen said.
Police say no one else is currently suspected to be involved, but investigations continue.
