Mysterious Death in Hampshire

Police have launched a murder investigation after a woman’s body was found at a home in Havant, Hampshire. Officers were alerted early on Thursday morning (17 April) when a man was spotted walking alone near the M40, Junction 3.

Man Arrested After Terrifying Discovery

The man, aged 48 and from High Wycombe, told officers that a woman he knew had died at an address on Timsbury Crescent, Havant. When police arrived, they discovered the body of a woman in her 40s. Her death is being treated as suspicious.

Major Crime Team Takes Over Investigation

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary’s Major Crime Team have launched a full investigation. The arrested man remains in police custody as inquiries continue. The woman’s family have been informed and are receiving police support.

“This is a tragic incident and we are working hard to establish the full circumstances. We would like to reassure the public that this is being treated as an isolated case and there is no wider risk to the community,” said Hampshire Police.
