£100,000 Worth of Class A Drugs Seized in Major Swindon Crackdown
Police Hit Organised Crime Group Hard
Officers from the newly named Serious Organised Crime Unit (SOCU), formerly the Specialist Crime Department, swooped on two Swindon addresses linked to a major Organised Crime Group.
The gang is suspected of flooding Swindon with class A drugs, including heroin. During the raids, cops seized over £100,000 worth of suspected Class A substances and a haul of cash.
Man Arrested in Birmingham Drug Sting
A 27-year-old man from Birmingham’s 1 area was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs. He remains in custody at Gablecross police station, facing intense questioning.
Detective Sends Warning
“This seizure is a major blow to drug supply chains,” said Det Insp Rab Macleod of SOCU. “We’re committed to tackling class A drugs in Swindon and beyond. County lines won’t stop us. We will keep going after suppliers because these drugs wreck lives.”
The police vow to keep up the pressure on drug dealers and protect communities from the devastating impact of the illegal class A trade.
