On June 7, 2025, the 15-year-old victim was blasted through the letterbox of his Cardiff home with a 12-bore shotgun. The blast tore into his lower legs, causing multiple injuries.

Efekan Karahan pled guilty to:

  • Posing a firearm with intent to endanger life
  • Possessing a loaded shotgun in public
  • Wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent

Ashley Corbin admitted to:

  • Possessing a firearm to cause fear of violence
  • Possessing a loaded shotgun in public
  • Wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent

Karahan was sentenced to nine years and ten months, while Corbin received a nine-year prison term.
