Four Cars Torched on Anchor Street

Just before dawn on Monday 9 May, a fire ripped through four parked cars on Anchor Street. Footage reveals a figure, believed to be a man, walking down the street around 5am, moments before the blaze erupted.

No Arrests Yet as Police Hunt Suspect

Greater Manchester Police are treating the fire as deliberate but thankfully no one was hurt. “This was a deliberate act that fortunately didn’t result in any injuries,” confirmed PC Sarah Holland from GMP’s Oldham district.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Officers urge anyone who recognises the person on CCTV or who was nearby to come forward. “We are keen to speak to the person in the CCTV or anyone who was in the area at the time who may have some information,” said PC Holland.
