Fire Razes Two Barns at Scottish Borders Farm

Police Scotland are hunting for witnesses after a fiery blaze tore through two barns packed with hay bales at a farm near the A7 in Heriot.

The fire broke out around 6.30am on Saturday, October 14, sparking a swift response from officers and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. Luckily, no people or animals were hurt.

Call for Witnesses and Dash-Cam Footage

Inspector Colin Deans revealed the barns were fully engulfed by flames. The farm sits at the end of a lane off the busy A7 road.

Police are urging local residents and passing motorists to step forward if they saw anything suspicious. Drivers with dash-cam footage near the area at the time are especially urged to get in touch.
