Man in 70s Seriously Hurt After Newport Road Smash
Police are hunting witnesses after a nasty crash on St James Street, Newport left a man in his seventies fighting for his life.
Crash Details: Pedestrian Hit by White Vauxhall Corsa
The smash happened just after 2.15pm on Thursday, April 17, near the McDonald’s on St James Street. A pedestrian was struck by a white Vauxhall Corsa. Emergency crews rushed the injured man to hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Hampshire Constabulary is now investigating and wants anyone who saw the collision to come forward. A police spokesman said:
