A brutal assault unfolded on Castle Street at around 9.30pm on Friday, 30 October, outside the Tale of Spice restaurant.
An 18-year-old man was targeted by a gang of youths and struck in the face with a bottle during the terrifying attack.
Hero Steps Up From Nearby Sports Bar
Police revealed that someone from the nearby Trowbridge Sports Bar rushed to the victim’s aid amid the chaos.
The injured man was rushed to the Royal United Hospital in Bath, suffering a suspected fractured eye socket. Thankfully, he was discharged the next day.
Police Seek Witnesses to Castle Street Assault
Officers are urgently appealing to anyone who was around Castle Street at the time to come forward.
