Bus Ride Horror Ends in Brutal Attack on Night Out Victim
A man in his 30s was viciously attacked after a walk home on a Bridgford Road bus turned violent. The victim had just enjoyed a night out with friends when trouble erupted at around 11.20pm last night.
Phone Drop Sparks Violence
It all began when the man heard a younger passenger’s phone drop to the floor. When he asked, “Is that your phone?”, the passenger snapped and followed him off the bus. Outside, the younger assailant launched a savage attack, leaving the victim needing hospital treatment.
Investigation Underway as Police Hunt Attacker
A 50-year-old woman was arrested early this morning on suspicion of assisting the attacker. Nottinghamshire Police say inquiries to catch the culprit are ongoing.
Detective Sergeant Henson said: “This was a serious, unprovoked assault on an innocent man just heading home after a night out. Thankfully, his injuries aren’t life-threatening, but he’s traumatised. We’re doing everything to find who did this.” “The attack happened on a busy road – we urge anyone who saw anything, has dash cam footage, or was on the bus to come forward.”
