Woman Sexually Assaulted Near Clapham Common in Early Hours

A woman was attacked around 2am on Saturday, 25 September, while walking along Englewood Road, SW12, near Clapham Common. The suspect, a man, was seen trailing her before suddenly grabbing her from behind and sexually assaulting her.

Victim Shouts, Attacker Flees

The woman shouted at the assailant to get away, causing him to run off toward Clapham Common. Police have since released an e-fit image of the suspect, hoping the public can help identify him.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

“This attack would have been terrifying for the woman and we are continuing to support her as our investigation continues,” said Detective Constable Annie Henry of the Central South Command Unit. “If you can assist our investigation, please don’t hesitate to contact the police – this man needs to be identified and held to account for his actions.”
