Woman Sexually Assaulted Near Clapham Common in Early Hours

Terrifying Attack at 2am on Englewood Road

Just after 2am on Saturday, 25 September, a woman was walking along Englewood Road, SW12, close to Clapham Common when a man began following her. As she paused to search her bag, the suspect suddenly grabbed her from behind and sexually assaulted her.

She shouted for him to back off, forcing the attacker to flee towards Clapham Common.

Police Release E-Fit to Track Down Suspect

Detective Constable Annie Henry of the Central South Command Unit said: “We are releasing this e-fit in the hope that someone recognises the person pictured. This attack would have been terrifying for the woman, and we continue to support her as our investigation progresses.”

She added: “If you can assist our investigation, please don’t hesitate to contact the police – this man needs to be identified and held accountable for his actions.”
