Heartbreak at Lakeside: Body of Woman Found Between A34 and A40
Just before 8.30pm on Monday, police were called to a chilling discovery — the body of a woman retrieved from a lake nestled between the A34 and A40.

The woman, yet to be identified, had shoulder-length dark hair. She was dressed in an olive green waxed jacket and blue jeans. Her death is currently being treated as unexplained.
Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up
Detective Inspector Tracey Benham from Banbury police station said: “Tragically, we have located a woman’s body in the water, and we are currently making every effort to identify her and to notify next of kin.”
She added: “There will be an increased police presence in the area over the coming days while we make enquiries. I urge the public not to speculate on the circumstances.”
Possible Sighting Linked to Case
Officers are aware of a woman matching this description who was seen knocking on doors nearby in the last two weeks. Anyone who might have spotted her is urged to come forward.
