Wigan Detectives Hunt Scott Higgins Over Firearms Scare
Police in Wigan have released an image of Scott Higgins from Kirkhall Lane, Leigh, wanted over a firearms discharge on Fisher Close. The shocking incident happened on Saturday, 8 July 2023.
Gun Fired in Wigan But No Injuries
At around 10pm, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) received multiple calls about a suspected firearm going off. Thankfully, no one was hurt. Officers are following every lead to get to the bottom of it.
Public Urged to Help Find Scott Higgins
After appeals for dashcam, doorbell, CCTV footage, and eyewitness reports, detectives revealed Higgins’ photo to help track him down. Detective Superintendent Simon Hurst pleaded with the public and Higgins’ friends and family to come forward.
“We are actively looking for Scott Higgins, who we believe can assist us with our investigation,” said Det Supt Hurst. “If anyone has info on his whereabouts, please get in touch. Anyone helping him evade police could face charges.”

The police are working around the clock to find Higgins and bring answers to this alarming firearms case.
