Teen Rushed to Hospital After Shocking Copnor Takeaway Brawl
A 17-year-old lad was rushed to a specialist hospital with serious finger injuries following a nasty fight outside a Copnor takeaway last night.
Two Groups Clash in Late-Night Fracas
Between 11:15pm and 11:50pm, tensions boiled over as two groups of youths clashed outside the Copnor Takeaway on Copnor Road.
“A 17-year-old boy sustained serious injuries to his fingers and was taken to Odstock Hospital,” said a police spokeswoman.
“A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray, section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent, and threats to kill.”
Police and Forensics Swarm Scene
Officers stayed on guard at the scene this morning. Forensics teams were out in force, snapping photos and gathering evidence outside the takeaway while examining items left on the floor.
Meanwhile, the takeaway staff had no part in the chaos. Damaged cracked glass was spotted on the front door, a grim reminder of the violence.
