Urgent Appeal After Teen Stabbed in Polegate

Police have launched a desperate hunt for witnesses following a stabbing in Polegate on the evening of March 18.

17-Year-Old Left Fighting for Life

Emergency services scrambled to Wannock Road at around 9pm after a 17-year-old boy was found suffering from stab wounds. Paramedics rushed him to hospital, where he remains in critical condition with potentially life-threatening injuries. His family have been informed.

Road Closures and Heavy Police Presence

Authorities have closed Wannock Road and High Street temporarily as they carry out a full-scale investigation. Cops say they will maintain a strong presence in the area while they hunt those responsible.

Chief Inspector Andy Nicklin stressed the seriousness of the case, saying, “This incident is being treated with the seriousness it deserves. A thorough investigation is underway to gather evidence and track down suspects.”

He also thanked the community for their patience during the ongoing probe.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Officers ask anyone who saw suspicious activity around the time of the stabbing or who has CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage to contact them immediately. Those with information are urged to call 101 and quote Operation Hutch.
