Woman Assaulted After Man Jumps in Front of Her Car in Stoke Poges
Thames Valley Police want witnesses after a shocking attack in Stoke Poges. At around 10.15pm on Monday (8 April), a woman driving her cream Fiat 500 along Templewood Road was ambushed.
Masked Men Launch Brutal Attack
A man suddenly leapt from the bushes in front of her car. Concerned he was hurt, the woman got out to check. That’s when a second attacker hit her from behind, knocking her to the ground.
The first man then punched her in the face, knocking her out briefly. When she came round, the pair had vanished – and her handbag, left in the car footwell, was missing.
Victim Hospitalised With Concussion
- The victim suffered bruising to her left face, a lump at the back of her neck, and concussion.
- She was treated at Wexham Park Hospital and has been discharged.
- Time off work needed to recover from her injuries.
Police Hunt Beanie-Wearing Main Suspect
The prime suspect is described as a mixed-race man with olive skin, early to mid-20s, around 5ft 5ins tall, medium build, and clean-shaven.
He wore a dark beanie, a dark hooded top with a silver badge on the left chest, and matching tracksuit bottoms.
No description is available for the second attacker.
Offenders may have fled in a black Audi saloon car.
“This was an unprovoked assault that left the victim very shaken,” said Hazel Brown, lead investigator from Amersham police station. “Thankfully, she was not seriously injured but has had to take time off work. We urge anyone who was in Templewood Road at 10.15pm on Monday and saw anything – especially the suspects or a black saloon – to get in touch.”
