Man Threatens Pensioner with Screwdriver in Shocking Blue Bell Hill Incident
Police are hunting a man who threatened a pensioner with a screwdriver near Blue Bell Hill.
Threat on Footbridge Sparks Alarm
The shocking event unfolded between 1.15pm and 1.30pm on Saturday, 7 November 2020, on Robin Hood Lane. A man in his 60s was crossing a footbridge with his wife and dog when an unknown suspect approached.
After the victim politely asked the man to keep social distance, the suspect allegedly pulled out a screwdriver and threatened him.
Suspect Description and Police Appeal
- Age: 30s to 40s
- Height: About 5ft 10in
- Build: Medium
- Features: Short black hair, black and grey beard
- Clothing: Navy blue coat with fur-trimmed hood
Police Sgt Sarah Alvey from Tonbridge and Malling Community Safety Unit pleaded for help: “We want to track down this man. If anyone recognised him or saw him around 1pm to 2pm near Robin Hood Lane, please come forward.”
She added, “Motorists in the area, check your dashcams for footage of a man matching this description heading towards Walderslade.”
