Third Arrest and Fourth Car Seized in Major Hampshire Car Meet Crackdown

Hampshire Police have made a third arrest and seized a fourth vehicle in their ongoing clampdown on a huge illegal car meet that roared across multiple Hampshire hotspots last weekend.

White BMW M2 Seized at Farnborough Gathering

Officers swooped on a white BMW M2 on the night of September 27 in Westmead, Farnborough, prompting a dramatic vehicle stop. The car meet was already under police watch, with officers liaising directly with attendees to prevent trouble.

The 22-year-old driver, a man from Dorking, Surrey, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. Police allege the BMW was caught doing doughnuts at the meet in southampton/" title="Southampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Southampton on September 21.

Police Crack Down on Dangerous Driving Across Hampshire

Chief Superintendent Darren O’Callaghan said:

“We have been very clear that we will do all in our power to identify, locate, and arrest people we believe to be involved in dangerous driving and use all resources available to disrupt this behaviour.”

The car meet kicked off at Winchester Park and Ride before barrels rolled through Southampton, Eastleigh, Chandler’s Ford, and Fareham – ending at Southsea seafront past midnight.

Multiple Vehicles Seized and Arrests Made

Earlier in the week, police seized a BMW M3, Ford Fiesta, and Volkswagen Golf, arresting two others connected to dangerous driving and anti-social behaviour at the event.

Hampshire Police are determined to tackle reckless driving and disorder linked to such events, using every legal tool to protect public safety and shield local communities from disruption.
