Two Held After Shocking Stabbing in Royal Wootton Bassett
Two men remain in custody following a brutal stabbing on Rylands Way, Royal Wootton Bassett, just after midday yesterday (10/09).
The victim was rushed to Southmead Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Thankfully, he is now in a stable condition as police continue their investigation.
Police Hunting Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Det Sgt Scott Anger said: “Our investigation is ongoing. We’ve had some valuable intelligence from the public but still need more help. This attack happened in a busy residential area.”

Increased Police Presence Reassures Locals
Inspector Doug Downing, head of the Neighbourhood Policing Team, acknowledged concerns about heightened police activity around town.
“We understand this may worry residents, but officers are conducting important enquiries,” he said. “Two people are already in custody. If anyone feels uneasy, please approach our officers to talk.”
