Woman in Life-Threatening Condition After Brutal Attack in Bournemouth
A woman is fighting for her life after being found with serious injuries in Bournemouth. Paramedics discovered her with severe head wounds at a flat in Clarence Park Road, Pokesdown, around 8pm on Monday.
Emergency Response and Hospital Care
Ambulance crews rushed the woman to Poole Hospital, where staff alerted police just before 1am on Tuesday. The woman, believed to be in her 40s, remains in a critical, life-threatening condition. Her family has been informed.
Police Investigation Underway
Dorset Police launched an immediate investigation. A 36-year-old man from Bournemouth has been arrested and is cooperating with officers.
A cordon is in place at the scene while crime scene officers continue their examination. Police are also conducting house-to-house enquiries in the Pokesdown area.
Appeal for Information
Detective Inspector Neil Phillips said: “We believe this woman may have been assaulted. I urge anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in Clarence Park Road on Monday evening to come forward urgently.”
