Spring COVID Booster Rollout Targets Vulnerable Brits

Eligible Brits, including the immunosuppressed aged five and up, will get their spring COVID booster about six months after their last jab.

Experts Urge High-Risk Groups to Top Up Immunity

Professor Wei Shen Lim, chair of the JCVI COVID-19 Committee, said: “Vaccination remains the best way to protect yourself against COVID-19. The spring booster gives those at highest risk a vital immunity boost.”

This booster bridges the gap until the main autumn jab roll-out, keeping the most vulnerable protected all summer long.

Hospitalisations Rise, NHS Warns Against Complacency

Dr Mary Ramsay, head of immunisation at the UK Health Security Agency, warned: “COVID-19 is still spreading fast, with hospital admissions ticking up among older people. Those at highest risk must not get complacent.”

She urged everyone eligible to come forward as soon as the booster programme kicks off.

NHS England to Reveal Booster Details Soon

Official plans for the spring booster programme will be announced by NHS England in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for updates on how to get your jab.
